Kate and I went to the Royal Easter Show today at Homebush. I could best compare it to a country fete in the UK on a big scale. Apparently the tag line is the 'The Country comes to the City' well that's the case, its a lot of animals on show, baking competitions, arts and crafts etc. The other significant aspect is 'Show Bags' basically cheap advertising for companies, they fill a bag with all thier products and sell it at a bargain price to try and get you hooked on thier product. There were literally thousands of people filing into the Showbag Pavillion.
The Easter Show was crazy people wise, just far too many everywhere. We caught the train back back to Flemington where we had parked and came home. Spoke to folks, had a a healthy dinner and unpacked a few more boxes.
Tomorrow I start work at Oxfam.
