Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Five

Tuesday 26th February

Spent all day at work splitting my time between master map work and finishing off packing event equipment for Melbourne event. Now have 2 full pallets ready to go.

Headed home and Kate and I cooked a chicken korma, I think we underestimated the strength of the korma powder so it had a bit of a kick!

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Four

Monday 25th February

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to my beautiful wife Kate.

We awoke and swapped anniversary cards and soon enough off to work as usual.

In the evening to celebrate our anniversary we had dinner at Ripples at Chowder Bay. We had the best table in the house with a great view.....

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Three

Sunday 24th February

A quiet day around the house today with a walk to the local shops in the afternoon. Skyped UK in the evening as well.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Two

Saturday 23rd February

We went and viewed two apartments this morning, they were not particularly great and in not so nice buildings. Interesting to get an idea on whats around.

We did some shopping at Chatswood and grabbed some lunch there too.

A relaxing evening at home.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty One

Friday 22nd February

A normal day at work, finally got sign off on our trail changes so full steam ahead with final map book changes for graphic designers.

Headed home tired at 5.40pm.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty

Thursday 21st February

Up early today as I met my colleague out on the trail at 8.15am to walk a couple of bits to get measurements for late trail changes as a result of being denied use of one of the ungazzeted trails we were hoping to use.

Pictures of my office today!

Drove from there back to the office and set to work re-doing maps to meet print deadline on Monday morning.

Came home, had some dinner and now spending time trying to catch up the blog, sorry for intermittent service recently!

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Nine

Wednesday 20th February

Kate dropped me half way to station before heading off to work herself, I walked the remainder of the way to the station.

Spent  much of the day trying to think of alternative solutions to our trail after one of key stakeholder/landowners denied permission to walk on one of the unofficial trails. Means more walking tomorrow and re planning, all while under looming deadline for printed map books.

Headed home late and had some dinner.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Eight

Tuesday 19th February

Happy Birthday to Kate!

Today is Kate's birthday so I did my best to spoil her! having said that we still both had to go to work! After some early presents we went to work and then both came home. Once we were ready for dinner we spent time opening presents (well Kate did!) including a call with Adelaide.

We made our way to the High St Bistro no more than 3 mins drive up the road and had a nice dinner. We came home and help finish off the brownies Kate made yesterday which were delicious.

We skyped UK so Kate could open a couple more presents from there too.

After all the excitement it was time for bed.

Monday 18 February 2013

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Seven

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Six

Sunday 17th February

We got up and had breakfast and then checked out. We made our way back to Nelson Bay and then got on the Imagine Cruises Dolphin watching tour. This departed the dock at 11.00am and lasted 1.5 hours. We got to see a few dolphins as shown in pics below.

Midway through the cruise it rained quite heavily with some lightning, a high adventure on the open seas!

The rain stopped just as we got back to the dock.

We grabbed some lunch and then drove home.

In the evening we Skyped both Hazel and then the folks in the UK.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Five

Saturday 16th February

Happy Birthday to my sister Hazel.

We got up and had breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was very nice. Once we had sorted ourselves out we headed to Nelson Bay and then Shoal Bay. We parked up at Shoal Bay and walked along the beach. We forgot our swimmers so could do nothing more than a paddle.

We headed back to hotel to get swimming gear but weather got worse and it started raining. We had some lunch in the bar and then the weather brightened up so we sat by the pool for  a few hours and we both had a swim.

We went back to the room and changed and went for a walk along the breakwater and beach before heading back to room to get ready for dinner.

We had a superb dinner in the hotel restaurant and once we were done heaed back the room where I crashed out tired. Kate was not long after me into bed.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Four

Friday 15th February

Back to work in Sydney and spent time catching up after 2.5 days in Melbourne as well as starting to pack two pallets of gear to go to Melbourne.

I left early to head home to meet Kate before we drove north to port Stephens.

Drive took us a lot longer than we thought mainly due to taking 1.5hours to drive the 10km between home and the highway due to rush hour.

We finally got to Port Stephens at about 8.30 after stopping for some fast food onthe highway on the way up.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Three

Thursday 14th February

Happy Valentines Day.

Got up and had brekkie before checking out and heading into Melbourne office for final day. Got a text from Kate thanking me for her flowers I had ordered via our wedding florist.

Finished off lots of things in the Melbourne office before heading to the airport to catch a flight home. Managed to get into the air just before a big storm hit the airport which caused some delays apparently.

Kate met me at Sydney airport and we headed home where we exchanged valentines cards.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Two

Wednesday 13th February

Most of the morning in Melbourne was finalising Risk workshop, got a few actions to take away and complete.

Also spent time teaching my counterparts how to schedule.

The afternoon was spent in Melbourne's Kennard unit helping sort out stuff and cleaning signage.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Forty One

Tuesday 12th February

Up early and Kate dropped me at Artarmon station. Form there I took the train to the airport to catch a flight to Melbourne. I don't much like flying Qantas but their self service check in, tagging and dropping of baggage without seeing a human is quite cool.

Flight was OK and then we caught a taxi to the office.

Spent all after noon is workshops and then we all headed out for dinner at an Italian place on Lygon St.
