I went to work for 5 hours and got more stuff done, mainly prepping for our safety briefing on Friday.

Cooked a roast chicken for dinner and we watched the Swans game. Soon enough the day had disappeared and it was time for bed.

You can officially fit five people in a 1m square skip bag.

We were both up early as Kate was volunteering at Walkabout Creek and I went into work.

Kate finished at just after 1pm and drove to the office and we grabbed some Japanese lunch in the Valley before coming home.

A relaxing afternoon and then a wonderful Chicken Katcartori dinner in the evening. Had a call with Sydney and crashed in front of TV in the evening.

Day One Thousand and Seventy Two

Saturday

Up and into work for 9am. Today was the first of our volunteer training sessions at work. We did two sessions, one at 11am, the second at 2pm. I reckon we got just short of 100 people through the door. It consisted of the first part of general training then break out sessions with each member of staff. I trained up a number of trail marking and sweep teams in my breakout sessions.

Walked home at about 4oclock and spent some time watching the Sydney Swans Game. We had an Italian selection for dinner.

Had  skype call to UK too.

We started watching the Movie A Beautiful mind but gave up at about 10 o'clock as we were both knackered.

Day One Thousand and Sixty Eight

Tuesday

Cold today in Brisbane, was 8 degrees when I got up at 6.30. Was nice to wake up under the covers feeling all cosy rather than being hot in bed. I'm still a Pom at heart!

Day One Thousand and Sixty Five

Saturday

Kate and I were up early, Kate went to Walkabout Creek to volunteer again. Sounds like she had a good time. I wentt into work but had a stinking headache all morning which wasn't great. At lunchtime I left work and went and had my passport interview at the city GPO. $280 dollars and five minutes later I was heading back to the office. My passport is winging its way back to UK for renewal and then it will come back along with a new one.

Kate picked me up form office and we headed home.

In the evening we went to a very nice new Italian Restaurant on James St, we are celebrating 5 years since our first official date in Leicester Square. We laughed that both of us then did not foresee we would be living in Brisbane 5 years later.

The restaurant website is here, food was superb.
