Thursday 21st March

Walked to the station and took the train to work. Glad I didn't drive as the Harbour Tunnel was closed this morning causing traffic chaos.

At lunchtime went to the park to a Close the Gap' day event. I ended up barbecuing for everyone. (Close the Gap is a campaign to close the gap between white Australian and Indigenous Australian health care. Indigenous people generally die on average 10 - 17 years earlier than the average white Australian).

Did more work in the afternoon before taking train home and walking home again.

Quite night at home.

Oh yeah and there was yet another challenge to the PM today which came to nothing. Aussie politics, you cant beat it (unfortunately)

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy Seven

Wednesday 20th March

Drove into work today as I needed to pick up some stuff to bring home, including checkpoint blackboards which need a revamp and repaint. Something to do at weekend. Also picked up bolt cutters so I can cut lock off my bike which I picked up at the weekend.

Drove home and was home by 6pm which was nice.

We knocked up a chicken pesto pasta for dinner before watching the Block All Stars final and also Skyping folks in UK.

Kate went shopping  with her mum this morning, I went to Kennards and collected my bike and accessories. I may start ridding to work on it, well at least to the station. I just need to remove the lock that is on it. I brought it home and cleaned it up and pumped the tyres up, good as new.

Spent some time in the afternoon catching up on some telly and then Skyped folks in the evening.

We had a slow start but then got ourselves on the train from Artarmon to Town Hall. We did a bit of shopping in the QVC and then grabbed some lunch at the Helm Bar.

We then went to the Aquarium which was pretty busy in the first part but then got a bit quieter. Was nice to see the wildlife.

We caught the train home and had a relaxing evening including a Skype call to UK.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty Six

Welcome to the weekend. We decided not to look at apartments this weekend to have a break.

We did some shopping and treated ourselves to some clothes, I even picked out a dress for Kate. I bought a new shirt and jumper combo.

In the evening we shared a nice Thai takeaway with Bill and Carol.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty Four

Quiet night at home.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty Three

Wednesday 6th March

Happy Wedding Anniversary to Chris and Hannah!

A normal day at work followed an evening out. We met our friend Marianne from London  who we worked with at Symbian who is back in Oz for a visit. We met at helm Bar for some dinner and then we headed to the Star Event centre to see Garbage. it's a long time since I've seen Garbage - 1995 in fact I think, but they still rock it.

It was also the very first gig at the brand new event centre, scarily the floor has a lot of bounce in it, I wouldn't want to be in there with a full crowd jumping up and down.

Some pics...

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty Two

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty One

Monday 4th March

Got up early and headed into Darling Harbour to attend an industry seminar on ISO 20121 - Event Sustainability. Was very interesting and the session was given by someone I had interactions with at Reading Festival a few years back when she was in a different role looking after recycling at the festival.

At lunchtime I headed back to the office and carried on with lots of stuff.

Came home and cooked dinner.

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Sixty

Saturday 2 March 2013

Day One Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Nine

Saturday 2nd March

Weekend again, phew! This morning we looked at two properties, the first one was this one

http://www.domain.com.au/Property/For-Sale/Apartment-Unit-Flat/NSW/Lane-Cove/?adid=2010308658

and the second

http://www.domain.com.au/Property/For-Sale/Apartment-Unit-Flat/NSW/Chatswood/?adid=2010314265

The first was rubbish as it overlooked the slip road for the highway, the second was really good. It shows if you up your proce bracket you see a lot nicer things. We'll go to the auction later in the month to see what it goes for.

We grabbed some lunch at the Chase and then also hired a DVD, Argo to watch later in the evening.

I cooked a risotto for dinner and then we watched the movie (it was very good).
