Day Six Hundred and Thirty Seven

Friday A day at the seaside, Kate and I met all the folks in Farnham so Bill & Carol could see Hazel's shop in Farnham. We all then drove down in the cars to Southsea & Portsmouth. As Bill had made reference to Portsmouth in his speech at the wedding it was a nice opportunity to show him the place itself. It was pretty cold, although the one pound ninety nine woolly hat from the BP garage made life easier. We arrived and spent time in the historic naval dockyard, looking at ships like Victory.

After that and lunch we all went to Southsea to see the beautiful delights of Clarence Pier, how tacky and unloved it still remains.

We froze Carol half to death on the beach awaiting the excitement of the hovercraft arrival.

We all headed home and had takeaway in Old Basing.
