Monday 5th July
Up early, at breakfast at 7.30 and on the road by 8am. We looked at potential start location for event and then walked forever. I walked 4km up a 40 degree hill it seemed, very hard going. I then split from the others and walked another 4km to a potential checkpoint. Very hard going and strange wondering around the Aussie bush alone!
Met back up with the others late afternoon and drove back down the mountain. Went out for a Japanese dinner and off to bed early.
