Day One Thousand One Hundred and Thirty Eight
Tuesday 24th July
We both got up early and drove to Kennards round the corner to take delivery of all our stuff form Brisbane. Unfortunately the staff at Kennards didn't show up on time and were 25 mins late arriving which held up our removalists who arrived bang on time at 8.30.
Once all the paperwork was done the two guys unloaded all our gear in, we packed the unit quite a lot bit it all went in thankfully.
Once done we headed back to home and dropped a few things we pulled out of the delivery.
Kate drove me to St Leonard's and I caught the train into work.
Most of the afternoon was meetings and unpacking gear for the event.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Thirty Seven
Monday 23rd July
Spent the morning with my colleague Alana visiting various Checkpoints and the Finish. Once done we headed back to work and refined a few of the site plans as a result.
An afternoon of more stores packing for the event.

Day One Thousand One Hundred and Thirty
Monday 16th July
Got up and Kate drove me to Artarmon station and caught the train into the city across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Arrived back into the Sydney office, its a bit strange almost like the last 2 years didn't happen and I'm back in the office.
Spent some time catching up with the team and then sorting out lots of things and finding documents etc.
Departed at about 5.30 and headed home.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Nine
Sunday 15th July
We got up and had breakfast at the cafe we had dinner at last night. We then got back on the road for the last 200km or so sharing the driving between us.
Soon enough we found ourselves back in Sydney after almost 2 years away in Brisbane. We spent time unloading the car and then I spent a lot of time putting together our Wardrobes we had stored here from way back when we lived in Glebe when we first arrived.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Eight
Saturday 14th July
Day two of our driving. Not much to say beyond we drove from Ballina to Nelson Bay over the course of the day we a couple of stops along the way. Kate took some great pics on the Ipad from our road trip I've copied in below
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Seven
Friday 13th July
Moving day! We got up at 6.45 which wasn't pretty but worth it as removal men arrived just after 7am so we had to be up to let them load our bed onto the truck. They loaded out all of our gear over a couple of hours after which Kate and I went and got a hangover cure fry up downstairs.
Cleaner arrived at 11.30 and we left him cleaning while we went for a trip around Brisbane to kill time.
We came back and signed off the flat with the building manager and said goodbye to Brissie and drove south to Ballina. Drive was horrible with heavy rain and traffic and added fun of it being dark.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Six
Thursday 12th July
Last day in the Brisbane Office for me. Was in and out and finalising things there. In the afternoon I headed home to help Kate with final packing before moving tomorrow. We then both got ready and headed back to the office before going out to Cloudland in the Valley to celebrate our departure and celebrate TW 2012.

Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Five
Wednesday 11th July
Drove to work this morning and then myself and Antony went to Kennards and packed up final four pallets of gear to be shipped to both Sydney and Melbourne. The Sydney delivery is timed for me to take delivery at the Sydney office on Monday when I start there.
Once we were done we handed back our ground floor unit. Back at work I did my annual performance review which was quick and painless and went well.
Walked home early afternoon and spent lots of hours packing up the last of our stuff. We have a fair amount of stuff for the removalists to collect on Friday.
We spoke to folks on Skype in the evening.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Four
Tuesday 10th July
Went into work in the morning before Kate picked me up at about 2pm. We both carried on packing in the afternoon and taking apart furniture so it takes up less space in our storage unit in Sydney next week.
We went down to the London for a last dinner there before we head back to Sydney.

Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Two
Sunday 8th July
Awoke to find our Foxtel had finally been cut off, I assumed we would have it today as it was due for cut off on 8th, oh well.
At 11.30 Bill and Carol arrived and then we drove down to the Gold Coast to grab some lunch and then go and watch the AFL game between the Gold Coast Suns and Geelong. Not a bad game.
We drove back after saying our goodbyes to Chris and Hannah who are staying on the Goldie tonight before flying back to Adelaide tomorrow. We had some supper at home and then Bill and Carol went back across the road.
We are presently watching the tennis at Wimbledon as I write this, go on Murray....
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty One
Saturday 7th July
Was awoken by the sound of the the Teneriffe Festival Organisers setting up out the back of our place this morning. The whole of Teneriffe is becoming a festival today and the lane way out the back window hosts a bar, live music, a fashion show etc.
We got ourselves ready and then met Bill and Carol and wondered around the festival for a bit and then grabbed some lunch and brought it back here to eat. Once lunch was done we cracked into some packing as we only have 6 days left before we move south.
The festival outside....
We relaxed a bit during the afternoon and then went to Bill and Carols to watch some of the Swans game. We then came home to get ready for dinner.
We walked over to James St to got to Bucci for dinner. We met Chris and Hannah there. The meal was interesting, it was disappointing they had a number of meals which were not available, but what we did have was very good,
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty
Friday 6th July
Happy Birthday to Hannah!
Got up and headed into work for the day and Kate spent the day with her folks and Chris and Hannah in the city. Kate even made it onto a ferry on the river. I knocked off early and wondered down to the hotel to meet them all to share tea and cup cakes (which Kate bought) to celebrate Hannah's Birthday.
Chris drove us all back to Teneriffe and we got ready to go out to Dinner. We all met up at Bill and Carols place and shared some Champagne and let Hannah open her presents before we all went to Brett's Wharf for dinner.
Day One Thousand One Hundred and Nineteen
Thursday 5th July
I spent the morning at work and Kate and her folks went to meet Carols sister Jan and her husband Kevin at Mt Coot-tha as they had driven down from Crows Nest. I went to meet them all for lunch at the summit cafe at Mount Coot-tha to catch up with them.
I left them all there and headed back to work for the afternoon.
I came home at about 4.45 and picked up Kate and we went shopping at Chermside for a few bits and pieces. We bought some food for dinner and came back here to eat it.

Day One Thousand One Hundred and Thirteen
Friday 29th June
Up and about early, alarm went off at 5.55am and we picked up Bill and Carol at about 6.30 who had travelled to Brisbane overnight on the train. We brought them back to Teneriffe and then Kate and I went to work. It was Kate's last day at Q Shared Services as her contract has come to an end along with about 3000 others. I picked her up after she had said goodbye to everyone.
After getting home we packed quickly and then all drove up to Mooloolaba for a welcome break away. The traffic was crap on the way up, its always busy near the Nudgee junction.
We checked into the Mantra Sirocco at about 8pm and wondered out to get some dinner.
